the live feed state allows you to display media from an mrss feed (or text from an rss feed in ticker zones) an mrss feed can be hosted on a third party server or your bsn content cloud network (using the live media feature) mrss feeds can be used to play image, video, audio, and html (different content types can be mixed into a single feed) state properties name the user selected name of the live feed state initial state select this to make this state the home screen source this section lets you specify the feed source url populate the live feed state from a remote url live media feed populate the live feed state using content docid\ gpjwf1lnjhau eqzjmfuq from your bsn content library validate click on this to ensure that your link is valid feed configuration this section lets you modify other options associated with the feed update interval specify how often the player should refresh the contents of the feed parser plugin select a feed parser to parse the feed data before it is passed to the live feed state optimize feed updates (use head calls) check this box to have the player make an http head request before retrieving the contents of a feed see presentation settings docid\ a6ali6u szxhuansk6t3 for more details automatically generate user variables from data feed use the feed to populate a set of user variables for html pages see presentation settings docid\ a6ali6u szxhuansk6t3 for more details notes this section lets you store important information about the live feed state for future users it can be modified at any time advanced this section lets you add commands to your presentation to extend its functionality see commands & conditional targets docid\ az1ytdteyh zp2dbg lbl for more information using a live feed state to add a live feed to your presentation drag the live feed widget onto your canvas you'll notice a red dot, which indicates that there's information you need to fill out in the state properties fill out the name and initial state fields under state properties find an rss feed on the internet or use your own live feed (add it under the content tab in new component > live media feed ), and enter it in the source panel under feed configuration , specify the update interval, how often to refresh the content, and a parser plugin if you want to parse the information coming from that feed connect these states using regular events as shown the image below screenshot 2025 02 07 at 4 06 08 pm png
