# Overview

- Content is published to a player-accessible URL. Content can be uploaded to the URL using WebDAV or FTP.
- The player downloads the content from the web folder.
- Players periodically check the web folder for content updates and when available, new content is automatically downloaded to the player.

# Add Setup File

From [BrightSign Control](https://control.brightsign.biz), create / sign in to your account, and select or create a Player Network for the player to belong to ([more info](docId\:CVBN8koVFul3DOi5bKHpl)).

Go to: **Player Setup / Setup File Library**&#x20;

Click **Add Setup File** to create a [Setup File](docId\:yDtI_hG5yGiOUIXfuK1pe).

Settings are organized into the sections shown. Review the available settings and configure as necessary.

For the [Publishing Mode](docId\:rEScIigY-dJRPuZgwaA4e), select **Web Folder** and enter the **Web Folder URL** and authentication info, if required.

Click **Save Setup File** to save the Setup File to the Setup File Library.

# Provision

Next, the player must registered and assigned the just-created Setup File. This process is known as [Provisioning](docId\:yAszd9x1YB7Uwun3OxXmP).
