The Services & Monitoring section of the Setup File enables access to useful player tools as described below.

# Enable Local Access to the DWS

The Diagnostic Web Server (DWS) is a built-in web service on all BrightSign players. It provides key player info, diagnostic tools, and the ability to apply OS updates and modify some player settings.

For internet-connected players, remote access (i.e., over the internet) to the DWS is available via BrightSign Control. This option specifically enables *local* access to the player's DWS (i.e., over the local network). For more info, see [Diagnostic Web Server (DWS)](docId\:qXt4YHey7IEj_M9dH73wM).
