## Recover a BrightSign Cloud account

:::hint{type="warning"}
The best practice is to use a generic email account (not tied to a single user) so future users can access the BrightSign Cloud account. We also recommend adding multiple users as admins on BrightSign Cloud accounts to facilitate backup and recovery.
:::

Assuming SSO is not being enforced by your organization (see [this page](docId\:fNXkrJI357PE2YHWYAS7I) for more info), you can recover your account as follows:

1. Go to the BrightSign Author [login page](https://auth.bsn.cloud/realms/bsncloud/protocol/openid-connect/auth?client_id=baconnected\&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fapp.bsn.cloud%2F%23%2Fadmin%2Factivate\&state=c64d4487-c59e-4b26-9116-e306fa9e6fe4\&response_mode=query\&response_type=code\&scope=openid\&nonce=f652dbc3-3c02-4378-874f-b437839c7040\&code_challenge=jTxCPS31mEke7cyOXuBQxQ3tQUbTA6kwzHgz20q_Q9E\&code_challenge_method=S256) (or you can access this through BrightSign Control **Administration > Account > Account Security**).
2. Select **Try Another Way**
3. Select the **Forgot my Password** option
4. Provide the email address associated with your BrightSign Cloud account
5. Check your email for a password reset link and follow those instructions.

In the unlikely event you have lost access to the email that is linked to your [SSO Authentication](https://docs.brightsign.biz/how-tos/authenticate-in-bsncloud), you can login using **Try Another Way **and selecting the Username and password method.

BrightSign support can’t add or remove users for security reasons.
