# What software and firmware do I need for the TD1012?

The BrightSign TD1012 Tabletop Display uses the most recent BrightAuthor and firmware releases listed on the [Legacy Downloads](http://support.brightsign.biz/hc/en-us/articles/218067907-Legacy-Product-Resources) page.

1280x800 demo content will display with black bars on the sides unless the **View Mode** of the presentation is set to "Scale to Fill" (**Edit > Playlist > Zone Properties**).

# Why doesn’t the TD1012 power button have any effect?

**Sleep**: Toggling the Power button off once puts the TD1012 display to sleep. It doesn't power off the TD1012. 

**Power** **Off**: To power off the unit, you need to toggle the Power button on and off four times. 

**Restart**: If you simply need to restart the TD1012, you can press the RESET button using a pen or paper clip. The recessed RESET button is next to the GPIO12 button on the side of the TD1012.

# What resolution does the TD1012 use?

All TD1012 production units support 1360x768. All content must be rotated counter clock wise to display properly.
