The instructions below apply to the BrightAuthor Classic app.

# Player Logs

1. Go to the logging settings: **Tools > Setup BrightSign Unit**. This will generate log files in the *currentlog* folder of the microSD card.
2. Enable all the logging options.
3. The log files will be in the *currentlog* folder of the microSD card.

# DWS Logs

1. Enable local access to the Diagnostic Web Server or DWS (see [DWS: Local Access](docId\:IAFCHERlJfjDJTWTtKpk5)).
2. Open the **Log** tab and select the entire kernel log (Ctrl+A).
3. Copy and paste the selected content to a text document.

## Using BrightScript

BrightScript users can get the DWS log content from [roSystemLog ReadLog()](docId\:KrRnuJD7STbMMV3z3xjD3). However, a known bug removes the initial log entries that start at 0.000.
