# How much current can the GPIO ports source/sink?

# What is the digital signal rise time?

10 nanoseconds is the rise time for our digital signals (rise is the time it takes to go from 10% to 90% of the final voltage level).

# Can the GPIO ports do analog signals? 

No, the players are digital input and output only.

# Is there hardware support for communication protocols? 

The GPIO lines do not support communication protocols. Certain models might possibly be remapped/reconfigured similar to GPIO serial, but it's not a supported function.
