If you specified a password when creating a [Standalone Setup](docId\:kLu38ghvQRQssgjjFYpbO), you will need to enter that password when publishing for USB drive updates:

1. Select **Local System Storage**.
2. Select **USB** in the **Property Panel** under **Options** (see the image on the right).
3. Check the box labeled **Publish for USB update**.
4. Enter the password that you entered when setting up the device in the **Specify Password** dialog box.
5. Complete the publish.
6. Insert the USB storage device into their BrightSign player. It will display a message indicating that a publish is in progress. On completion, the user is instructed to remove the USB drive; the system reboots and plays back the updated presentation.

If you did not setup the device with a password, you don't need to specify one when publishing an update.
