The **Live Feed** state allows you to display media from an MRSS feed (or text from an RSS feed in Ticker zones). An MRSS feed can be hosted on a third-party server or your BrightSign Author Plus network (using the **Live Media** feature). MRSS feeds can be used to play image, video, audio, and HTML (different content types can be mixed into a single feed).

# Using a Live Feed State

To add a Live Feed to your presentation:

1. Drag the **Live** **Feed** widget onto your canvas. You'll notice a red dot, which indicates that there's information you need to fill out in the **State** **Properties**.
2. Fill out the **Name** and **Initial State** fields under **State** **Properties**.
3. Find an RSS Feed on the internet or use your own live feed (add it under the **Content** tab in **New** **Component** **> Live Media Feed**), and enter it in the **Source** panel.
4. Under **Feed** **Configuration**, specify the update interval, how often to refresh the content, and a parser plugin if you want to parse the information coming from that feed.
5. Connect these states using regular events as shown the image below.
