There are generally two approaches for authoring player content: BrightSign presentations and web presentations.

# BrightSign Presentations

Players can display presentations created with BrightSign's authoring tools.

## Author & Author Plus

In addition to *managing* player content, [BrightSign Author](docId:7xqhhE03hrlS_QzV35_ta) can also be used to *author* the presentations that players display. From simple looping videos to advanced interactive displays with multiple zones, BrightSign Author gives you the tools to realize your most creative digital signage ideas.

# Web Presentations

The Chromium engine built in to every player enables players to display standards-compliant web pages. Players can thus display web presentations created with popular web technologies (i.e., HTML, JavaScript, etc.).
